Garde x Rebo
Garde is a software platform that makes manufacturing and interpreting PnL easy for restaurants.

The Problem:

Garde, originally named ‘Munch Insights,’ had shifted away from their gamified loyalty system and transitioned to reporting and analytics. As a result, they were looking to move towards branding that felt modern and up-to-date. They described Garde as a premium software made for independent restaurants.

Rebo is a bookkeeping service that can be paired with the main Garde software for businesses that want the extra push. The company wanted identities that could both stand alone and be paired together.

The Solution:

The custom type uses sharp ninety-degree angles and perfect rounds to give the logomark a technical and scientific feeling, not straying too far from their company’s software foundations. However, since the target audience is restaurant owners, we avoided typical signifiers of technology—clean whites, monotype, and a cool-to-the-touch feeling.

The resulting design lives somewhere in-between: sleek enough to be tech, different enough to represent culture.

The Rebo branding is much the same. It features the same unique type but exchanges the target symbol for something softer and more befitting of the Rebo brand. As the company is relatively new, it still has many avenues to grow into. The final designs allow for that wiggle room. By using the same shape language for both the symbols and the type, the company can feel free to create their own ever-expanding ecosystem.
